The vast and splendid valley of Yagour lies not far from Marrakech.  This exceptional site forms the buttress of the High Atlas summits and has been travelled for centuries by the herdsmen.  We will explore the priceless treasures carved in the slabs of rose sandstone, the most extensive site of rock art in the High Atlas. Bovids with twisted horns, sun wheels, weapons, and figures bear witness to the stirring history of human occupation of the region from the end of the Neolithic era.

There are two options to best explore the Yagour and the piedmont valleys of the Marrakeh Atlas: 1) a 7 day traverse from the village of Tachdirt at the base of the Toubkal to the  Tizi N Tichka pass.  This itinerary includes several magnificent valleys, each with very different characteristics:  Tachdirt, Ounila and Zat. We will traverse a number of authentic Berber villages.  2) a 6 day loop starting from the village of Ounila.  The sacred summit of Meltsene (3595m)  can easily be added to the program with an extra day of hiking.

The Yagour plateau can also be explored with a 3 or 4 day traverse from Marrakech, an ideal short getaway.

Flexible according to your needs : dates, number of days, itinerary etc.

Ideal for families.
